Opening area is inversely proportional to mesh size and wire diameter
So, the higher mesh count, the smaller opening area.
The mesh opening area is important for confirming the ink volume.
The larger opening area, the more ink though the mesh.
Calculation of opening area:
Take 120T mesh for example
Wire diameter is 0.033mm.
To calculate the width per centimeter: 0.033×120=3.96mm
The width per 1 centimeter: 10-3.96=6.04mm。
The net width per hole: 6.04÷120=0.050333mm。Includingthe opening area in the mesh(d+w)
0.033+0.050333=0.0833mm,
0.0833×0.0833=0.0069388 m2.
Mesh Area:0.05033×0.05033=0.002533m2.
Wire Mesh opening rate:0.002533÷0.0069388×100%=36%
