How to check the wire mesh specifications for stainless steel wire mesh?
Whether the supplier has cut corners or not, it involves the detection of stainless steel wire mesh. In order to make our customers better understand and use this product, we will provide the following testing methods for customers to measure.
Stainless steel wire mesh specifications include: wire diameter, mesh number, width length, material, and weaving method. The following is explained:
First, we must explain a formula for stainless steel wire mesh: stainless steel mesh weight = square of wire diameter * mesh number * width * length / 2. This gives the theoretical weight of the stainless steel mesh. Because the weight is easy to measure and is related to both wire diameter and mesh, it is a good standard for measuring stainless steel wire mesh.
1.Measurement of wire diameter: Direct measurement of wire diameter. In general, the measurement of the wire diameter requires the use of a special tool ------ micrometer (spiral micrometer). This measurement of the wire diameter is a conventional means of measuring the diameter of the stainless steel wire. For some stainless steel meshes with large diameters, we can also use a caliper for simple measurements, but for small diameters, a micrometer is required.
In addition, due to the correlation between the thickness of the mesh surface and the wire diameter, it is also possible to measure the contrast by measuring the thickness of the mesh surface instead of the wire diameter.Taking a 300-mesh stainless steel printing net as an example, the wire diameter is 0.035 mm, and the mesh thickness is 0.08 mm. Generally, the thickness of the mesh surface is twice as large as the wire diameter, but the mesh thickness is the same when the same mesh number and the same wire diameter, and the mesh thickness is relatively good because of the numerical value. This is mainly used for stainless steel mesh with high mesh count and low wire diameter. Low mesh, large diameter stainless steel mesh is generally not suitable, it is best to measure the wire diameter directly. Finally, the wire diameter was measured indirectly by measuring the weight of the stainless steel mesh. This involves the measurement of the weight of the stainless steel mesh above, but in general the actual weight is a little lighter than the theoretical weight. Therefore, this method is not accurate enough, but it is also a more effective detection method when the first two methods cannot be implemented.
2. Measurement of the number of meshes: There are generally special tools for the determination of meshes: density mirrors and eyepieces. The former generally has a higher number of measurements, while the latter has a lower number of measurements. However, customers generally do not have these professional testing tools, and then use some simple methods to determine. For meshes with less than 100 mesh, use a ruler, follow the warp, and count the number of meshes in 2.5CM. This value is the mesh. This method is less realistic for a mesh number greater than 100, and requires indirect detection by weight without a detection tool. Also use the above formula.
3. Measurement of the net length of the net: the measuring tape can be used. The regular width is 1 meter and the length is 30 meters. The width can be made up to 2 meters. The length can also be made according to customer requirements, usually 30 meters, but we still need to prevent individual manufacturers from deceiving customers by reducing the number of meters.
4. Detection of stainless steel mesh material: The most important thing is to measure the content of NI, and then include Cr and C. The most accurate is to send to the testing agency. Stainless steel can also be used to test the syrup test. Our stainless steel wire mesh inspection guarantees the purity of stainless steel materials mainly from feed testing and finished product inspection. Generally, the finished product needs to be inspected at the initial, middle and end sections to ensure the material. There may be a misunderstanding here that the magnet can't hold the good material, and the magnetic one is bad. This is actually not true. There is no direct relationship between the magnetic properties of the stainless steel wire mesh and the material.
5. Weaving method: General stainless steel wire mesh plain weave is the main weaving method. Followed by twill, mat type and so on. Mainly to achieve the weaving method formed under the mesh and thickening of the mesh surface.
In short, stainless steel wire mesh testing methods need to be more professional tools, but you can also achieve the purpose of testing quality by some simple tools or indirect means.
