Metal wire mesh has been widely used in mining, petroleum, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, machinery manufacturing and other industries. Different materials will have different properties, so understanding the difference of materials can help us better choose the right product.
Some of our customer groups are interested in Inconel, so in this article, we will take Inconel 625 as an example, and give you a brief explanation.
Ø First of all, Inconel 625 is mainly composed of Ni, Cr and Mo elements, and the mesh count can
reach 200 mesh.
Its chemical composition is.
C: ≤ 0.10, Mn: ≤ 0.50, Si: ≤ 0.50, P: ≤ 0.015, S: ≤ 0.015, Cr: 20.0 ~ 23.0, Ni: 54.0 ~ 60.0, Mo: 8.0 ~ 10.0, Ti: ≤ 0.40, Al: ≤ 0.40, Fe: ≤ 5.0, Nb: 3.15 ~ 4.15
Its corresponding grades in each country are:
Ø Inconel 625 has excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, good tensile and fatigue
properties from low temperature to 980°C, and withstands stress corrosion in salt-resistant atmospheric environments. Therefore, it can be widely used in the manufacture of aerospace engine components, aerospace structural parts and chemical equipment with exposure to seawater and subject to high mechanical stress.
This alloy has the following properties.
1. Excellent corrosion resistance to various corrosive media in both oxidizing and reducing environments
2. Excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, and no stress corrosion cracking due to chlorides
3. Excellent resistance to inorganic acid corrosion, such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and a mixture of sulfuric and hydrochloric acids, etc.
4. Excellent resistance to corrosion of mixed solutions of various inorganic acids
5. When the temperature reaches 40℃, it can show good corrosion resistance in various concentrations of hydrochloric acid solutions
6. Good processability and weldability, no post-weld cracking sensitivity
7. With wall temperature in -196 ~ 450 ℃ pressure vessel manufacturing certification
8. Certified by the American Association of Corrosion Engineers NACE standard (MR-01-75) to meet the highest standard level VII for use in sour gas environments.
Ø Inconel 625 is used in the following applications
Softened and annealed low carbon alloy 625 is widely used in the chemical process industry, where its good corrosion resistance and high strength allow it to be used as thin structural components. 625 alloy can be used in applications where it comes into contact with seawater and is subjected to high mechanical stress. Typical application areas.
1. Components for organic chemical processes containing chlorides, especially where acidic chloride catalysts are used
2. Boilers and bleach ponds for the pulp and paper industry
3. Absorption towers, reheaters, flue gas inlet baffles, fans (wet), stirrers, deflectors and flue pipes in flue gas desulfurization systems
4.Equipment and components for the manufacture of applications in acidic gas environments
5. Reaction generators for acetic acid and acetic anhydride
6. Sulfuric acid condenser
MAISHI weaves the wire made from Inconel 625 into a mesh and performs a series of further processing to meet the needs of our customers. In addition, through a brief introduction, customers can have a simple understanding of the alloy and be able to select their preferred product in the subsequent demand and selection.
