MAISHI MFG. has been focusing on manufacturing a wide assortment of extruder screens covering plastic, rubber processing, and plastic extrusion and reclamation applications to ensure a clean and viable extrusion. To accommodate filters, extruded screens are often made in many different shapes, including the common disc, oval, rectangular, and kidney shapes to any unique shape with or without borders.
Plastic & melt extruder screen packs are made of woven wire mesh and the common material is iron and stainless steel 201 and 304. The mesh filter is available in plain, dutch or twill weave styles to receive the filtration requirement. The apertures can be produced from 10 to 1000 microns.
Are you always worried about finding a most suitable for your project? MAISHI MFG. engineers will work together with your R&D team to design the customized extrusion filter until you and your customer are satisfied.
Commonly product specification:
lMaterial: stainless steel 201, 304, 316, 304L and 316L, black wire cloth, copper wire mesh, galvanized mild steel. (other materials are available on order).
lTypes: Single-layer without edge; Multi-layer without edge; Edging include single-layer and multi-layer.
lWeave types: plain, dutch & twill.
lScreen Shapes: square, rectangle, round, oval, ring, rectangle, cylindrical, etc.
lDisc size: from 5mm to 800mm.
NOTE: custom extruder screen packs are available.
Commonly types used in the plastics processing industry:
lSingle-layer filter mesh
Single-layer extruder screen is lightweight, economical and it is often used in the plastic reclamation industry, possibly with a Dutch Weave filter used with a plain weave support filter.
They are also used in the extruded profiles and blown film industries where the contamination of the raw material is less and there is often lower pressure within the extruder head.
Without edge, single-layer extruder discs still don't have sharp edges and are easy to install and fit your extrusion equipment. Being made into various density levels of screens, extruder screen packs can filter many kinds of materials such as polymer melt, oil, powder, food.
lMulti-layer filter mesh
MAISHI multi-layer spot welding wire mesh filter packs are excellent in any field where a specific graduation filtration is required.
Multi-layer Extruder Screen packs are the different wire meshes cut to desired shapes and sizes, and then assembled properly and spot welded with each other to form multi-layer packs.
Multi-layer screen packs are extra strong, not easy to be damaged, sturdy, and convenient for problem-free processing. They are assembled in the proper sequence to stops single screen filters from being placed into the extruder incorrectly. For example, a pack consisting of three meshes could consist of a 10mesh / 20mesh / 10mesh; meaning that whichever way the wire mesh filter is placed into the extruder head, it will work correctly.
Together with multiple layers of filter mesh, multi-layer spot welding extruder screens can achieve different levels of filtration, improving material purity.
The screen pack even prevents any foreign particles in the molten mass from going through the extrusion process. This type of extruder screen is suitable for fine extrusion, and it makes extrusion more clean and clear.
lEdging extruder screens filter mesh
MAISHI edging extruder screens and filter mesh feature spot-welded packs with an Aluminium or Stainless Steel edge added for extra rigidity and strength.
These are excellent for use where the extruder screen filter is operating at high pressures or if there is a danger of contamination getting around the edge of the breaker plate.
With superior filtration accuracy, edging multi-layer extruder screens made from MAISHI play an important role in the purification of thinner molten materials such as oil, plastic fines, fibers. It is widely used in many extrusion applications within the plastics industry, such as Reclamation of Plastic Waste, Extruded Profiles, Blown Film Extrusion, etc,.
