Metal etching is the direct use of strong acid or strong alkali solution to corrode unprotected parts of the workpiece, which is currently the most used method. The advantage is that the etching depth can be shallow and the etching speed is fast. The disadvantage is that the corrosive liquid has a great pollution to the environment.
