Stainless steel filter mesh filter material introduction

Stainless steel wire mesh products have the characteristics of corrosion resistance, wear resistance, acid resistance and heat resistance. It is precisely because of these characteristics that the stainless steel filter mesh can be widely used in the mining, chemical, petroleum, and other industries. The first is to be used for gas, liquid and other media separation.

The particle size and material used for the filter media of the stainless steel filter mesh sheet are determined by factors such as the waste water nature, size, and filtration speed of the particulate

matter to be filtered out. Commonly used filter materials are quartz sand, garnet particles, anthracite particles, magnetite particles and so on. Among them, quartz sand is most commonly used. Sand has high mechanical

strength, relative density of about 2.65, and chemical stability in acidic wastewater with a pH of 2.1-6.5. However, when the wastewater is alkaline, there is a phenomenon of Luo. At this time, marble and limestone are generally used instead.

Anthracite has better chemical stability than quartz sand and does not scoop out in any environment. The disadvantages are poor mechanical strength and different densities in different places, generally 1.4-1.9. Multi-layer filters are commonly used for high-density concrete, where the relative density of garnet and magnetite is greater than 4.2, and the Mohs hardness is greater than 6. For colloidal substance wastewater filtration media, materials such as coke, progenitor bone charcoal, and anthracite charcoal should be used.
