The wire mesh is made into filter discs through facilities such as high-speed cutting or press to form variety of size screen discs. Then those screen discs can be supplied as separate components or combined in varying meshes by spot welding, seam welding together or bound with aluminum, stainless steel rims to form multi-layer screen packs and spinneret filters. The commonly used edging materials of filter discs are stainless steel, copper, galvanized, aluminum, rubber, etc.
